Annika was born and brought up in Montreal, Canada. In 1995 she moved to Toronto to become a flight attendant for a major Canadian airline. In 2004, she left her job at 35,000 feet after getting married, moving to London, England and giving birth to her daughter, Amel. Annika soon returned to her native Montreal, daughter in tow, and began writing.

What began as research for her own parenting needs soon became a fulfilling career. Now most of Annika's adventures involve writing and exploring family-friendly activities with her four year-old daughter.
